Announcing Global Infrastructure: 6 Regions, One Platform
Going Global
When we launched Tantia, our infrastructure lived in a single US region. That worked well for domestic manufacturers, but as our customer base expanded into Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, latency and data residency became real concerns. Today that changes.
We are announcing general availability of Tantia in six regions: US East, US West, EU Central (Frankfurt), South America (Sao Paulo), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), and Asia Pacific (Sydney).
Why Multi-Region Matters for Manufacturing
Manufacturing is inherently global. A consumer goods company might have plants in Mexico, warehouses in Texas, and suppliers in Shenzhen. When your ERP serves all of those locations from a single data center 3,000 miles away, you feel it — in page load times, in webhook delivery delays, and in the gap between a sensor event and an alert.
With regional deployments, data travels shorter distances. API response times drop below 100ms for most operations. Real-time dashboards actually feel real-time.
Data Residency and Compliance
For customers in the European Union, data residency is not optional — it is law. Our EU Central deployment ensures that customer data stays within EU boundaries, satisfying GDPR data localization requirements. Similar guarantees apply to every region we operate in.
Each regional deployment includes its own database cluster, object storage, and compute layer. Cross-region replication is opt-in and encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3.
Automatic Failover
Every region runs in an active-active configuration across multiple availability zones. If a zone goes down, traffic reroutes automatically with zero manual intervention. Our target is 99.99% uptime — and we publish real-time status at status.tantia.dev.
Migration Is Seamless
Existing customers can migrate to a closer region with a single support request. We handle the data transfer, DNS cutover, and validation. Most migrations complete in under two hours with zero downtime.
The Road Ahead
We are evaluating additional regions in India and the Middle East based on customer demand. If your manufacturing operations need a regional deployment that is not yet available, reach out — we want to hear from you.
